CRS Project Ideas
The CRS Gift Catalog is a good opportunity to engage youth in a unique fundraising experience at gift.
Work of Human Hands Youth ministry groups can organize an Advent sale of fairly traded items and raise awareness on fair trade issues in the parish. Fair trade chocolate is available in the catalog as well.
CRS Coffee Project: Youth ministry groups can support small coffee farmers and raise awareness on fair trade issues by advocating that the parish, schools or even their homes serve fair trade coffee, tea and cocoa. The packaged coffees, teas and cocoas are ideal for fundraising. The proceeds from the sale will support the farmers who grow the coffee, tea, and cocoa, your own local cause, and, through the CRS Small Farmers Fund, agricultural communities with whom CRS works around the world.
CRS Fair Trade Chocolate: CRS is proud to announce the launch of the CRS Fair Trade Chocolate Program this fall, featuring Divine brand chocolate. Divine Chocolate is world-class in more ways than one. It is one of the world's best-tasting brands of chocolate and it is the world's first farmer-owned Fair Trade chocolate company! Divine's cocoa comes exclusively from the Kuapa Kokoo cooperative in Ghana, whose farmers pick the cocoa by hand and own a share of the company! Great chocolate for you, economic justice for cocoa farmers overseas.
